Context: Alive — free, open-source, well-run since 2018. One-way store: API writes are private-beta (owned bins answer 401; PUT/DELETE 500), unclaimed bins are world-writable by anyone with the URL, and a bin is one blob — no filters or per-record CRUD. 100 req/min per IP.

What we check: GET https://api.npoint.io/features — a plain, keyless request from Cloudflare's network with an honest bot UA, exactly what a tutorial curl or an <img> tag experiences. OK = HTTP 2xx/3xx within 8s. No retries, no cookies, no API keys.

Subscribe any webhook URL — no account needed. One message when api.npoint.io goes down, one when it recovers (debounced: two consecutive hourly checks must agree, so a single blip never fires).
